The IMPI Challenge will close off its 2019 season at a new venue, the Purple Windmill (Stellenbosch) on Saturday 23 November 2019.

“We are excited to close off the season at a new venue,” says Pieter du Plessis, IMPI Challenge Race Director.  “With a new venue comes new experiences that are guaranteed to leave lasting memories.  As with the IMPI Challenge #1 and #2, there are four categories to choose from when entering the IMPI Challenge #3:  1. IMPI Corporate, 2. IMPI Challenge, 3. IMPI Dash and 4. IMPI Mini.  Each event will boast a combination of challenging and fun obstacles (natural and/or manmade) that are guaranteed to get the heart rate pumping.  Don’t forget, this is the IMPI Challenge, so yes you will be doing a fair amount of trail running.  Whether climbing, crawling, swinging, jumping or running, all obstacles are doable and safe.”

“The IMPI Challenge invites junior adventure seekers between the ages 6 – 10 to be part of the fun by taking on the IMPI Mini,” continues du Plessis.  “Featuring a 1km course with +-8 smaller obstacles, this event is supervised at all times.  Entrants can complete the course as many times as they’d like between 08:30 – 12:00 on event day.  Bring your family and friends, overcome your fears and become IMPI Warriors!”

Not one to back away from a challenge, professional Muay Thai fighter, kickboxer, stuntman and personal trainer, Ashley Robinson (Kenilworth) is ready to faceup to the IMPI “Competitive” Challenge.

“It’s the athletes and the competition that attracts me to the IMPI Competitive Challenge,” says Robinson.  “The IMPI Challenge is a good mental and physical test.  I really enjoy the obstacles that require you to carry various objects.  I must admit that swimming with shoes on is an obstacle on its own.  My preparation for the IMPI Challenge includes high intensity interval training.  My goal is to make the podium.”
